An amazing machine!Feb 17, 2010

This tumbler is incredibly easy to use and infuses your meat with wonderful marinades making it so tender, moist and tasty. My favorite is to use it with ribs - the barbeque flavor is infused throughout the meat so that when I barbeque it, I get this intense smoky goodness.
It is also easy to use with fish and especially shrimp that has been peeled and frozen from the grocery store..I hate the preservatives put in the shrimp to plump it up and it is really evident when you see the foam after tumbling . . the key is to tumble the shrimp a couple of minutes with ice cubes to firm them back up before serving.
In todays world where we are all worried about impurities in our food, this takes some of the concerns away and makes the meat we prepare even safer.

I had no idea there is sludge in poultryFeb 25, 2010
By S Sharp I've never written a review before, but after trying my new Marinade Express unit I am compelled to do so! I put a full turkey breast in the machine, with the unflavored marinade. Carefully, I followed the instructions and put the bird on `spin' for 20 minutes. The process was simple, really. After spinning, I loosened the lid and the vacuum was released (an amazing vacuum noise!). I could not believe the yucky sludge that was removed from the turkey, floating on the surface of the water. I always buy the organic poultry, so I was amazed that there was so much ick floating in the water! I rinsed the bird off and baked it like I normally do. It turned out to be incredibly tender. Two days later I tried the same thing with some boneless organic chicken breasts ... same story. The crud that was removed from the chicken was toxic looking and really smelly. I can't believe we had been eating that stuff. Never again. The 20 minutes it took to spin the poultry was definitely time well spent and I can't wait to try some other food in my machine very soon.
